Among all the stress of planning a wedding it can be so rewarding to sit back and give yourself some serious at home spa-like treatments. Plus your skin will look glowing and gorgeous for the big day. I recently tried out The Tatcha Wedding Set  and have many wonderful things to say about it! This set is a great gift for any bride (any skin type) you might know. It would make a perfect bridal shower gift! But you certainly don’t have to be getting married to enjoy these amazing products.

Let’s start with the fact that it comes in a beautiful one-of-a-kind bag handcrafted in Kyoto from kimono material. It can be reused for many other things later on (makeup, hair brushes, it would even fit a delicate pair of shoes). Pretty awesome and we haven’t even opened it yet. Inside, each product is like a special gift wrapped in attractive packaging. Inside the boxes of the Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream and Luminous Dewy Skin Mist are blue paper boxes with ribbon pull tabs that house the products. They’re like little drawers and also have a message written in the bottom. Speaking of notes, they also come with little notes from the founder of Tatcha on beautiful rice paper. These products are so detailed and it made me feel extra special when opening everything!

Tatcha Review Petal Fresh Japanese Beauty Papers

Aburatorigami Japanese Beauty Papers: These are made of 100% Abaca leaf and gold flakes. They’re all natural and handmade in Japan and like many Tatcha products have a neat story behind them. Authentic Aburatorigami was originally created by gold leaf artisans and discovered by Geisha in the 1800’s for its skin benefits. Unlike other oil blotting papers you might have tried, these ones are powder-free and fragrance-free. These are a must to have around on your wedding day! And in your purse everyday. They’re larger than most standard blotting papers and do an amazing job of absorbing oil without disturbing any makeup that you might have on. They’re also biodegradable. Love!

Tatcha Review - Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
: You know how some sprayers are, well…cheap. This one is anything but. It is of such a high quality and produces a super fine, evenly spread mist. The pretty violet bottle is sealed with a rice paper sticker (again those nice details!) and it makes my skin feel calm and hydrated. This is great to use not just in the morning and at night, but in the middle of the day when your skin needs a refreshing and replenishing boost of moisture. Because the mist is so fine it doesn’t disturb makeup, but in fact helps to set it. It has red algae in it – known as “treasure from the god of the sea” and prized for generations by Okinawans for its moisture-retaining qualities.

Tatcha Review - Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream

Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream
: This has become my favorite eye cream lately. It is rich and substantial when you take a bit out of the jar with the tip of your ring finger, yet it absorbs into skin around the eyes without feeling heavy or filmy. It is extremely nourishing and moisturizing while being delicate around the eye area. I’ve been using this morning and night for two weeks now and am just loving it. I typically can get dry skin around the eye area, and since using this I haven’t at all. It is rich in Peony (one of my favorite flowers!), Yokuinin (has anti-inflammatory effects), and Nindou extracts. It also has red algae, as well as Hyaluronic Acid for extra moisture. I recently read that we start to see the effects of aging at 29. If that’s the case, this is the perfect year for me to start using this eye cream! And most importantly, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin! P.S. This cream also creates an amazing base for doing your eye makeup.

Tatcha Review - Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask

Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Mask
: Wow, one of the best masks I’ve ever tried. I’ll admit it was a little intimidating upon first taking it out of the package (it’s this big round mask made of several layers), but it was so soothing once in place. I really enjoyed the process. To put it on it feels a little odd at first – you have to find the right positioning for your particular face. The circular shape ensures it will fit a wide variety of face sizes, but was a little large for mine, overlapping a little over my hairline and I folded about 2 inches of it under my chin (which was actually quite nice in the long run). The eye holes were a bit small and close together for my face, but they just fit without touching the outer corners of my eyes when spread out (barely). Once you take the second mesh layer off it can all be pressed into place quite easily.

I set a timer for 15 minutes and the cooling / tingling sensation of the mask was very calming and oh the hydration! I could really feel it just soaking into my skin. The mask was so moist I thought it was going to create droplets rolling down my chin when I first put it on, but the serum never ran. When I took it off I rubbed the rest of the serum into my skin like the package said and then applied some of the eye cream and a spritz of the mist. I have to say, my face hasn’t felt this fresh, and moist in a while. And it also feels so firm and soft. I feel great!
